Don’t let the salty air and warm breezes steal your time with Jesus, the God of heaven and earth! In the lazy days of summer we can be lulled to complacency and let the time with God in His Word slip away.
This just means we need to find a new rhythm in the summer that invites our souls to something deeper and filled with grace.
Sitting pool side with an open Bible and practicing memory work, or soaking in the sunlight while listing the gifts I’m grateful for before the Lord, or having my morning quiet time on the front porch and asking the Lord to tend my soul as I tend the garden are all part of my summer rhythms to draw near to the One who is drawing near to me.
